Dia De los Muertos is celebrated in many countries…

…but who would ever think to go to Belgium for a special Xolo celebration of this beautiful holiday? In the town of Ostend, Belgium you will find a lovely little resto named SASSY’S where the owner has made an altar to honor her Xolo, Fidel. Special Dia de los Muertos bread, marzipan and decorations appropriate to the event are there for everyone to enjoy……THANK YOU, Saskia for sharing this with us, in memory of Fidel. What a beautiful tribute to a great XOLOITZCUINTLE.

Halloween is for Xolos too!

This is a sweet little Xolo named Taco that lives in southern Florida.

The Parade of Alebrijas was recently held…

…in Mexico City. The Mexican artesanias excel in the creative arts. This alebrija is enormous and it was created by an artist named Gabriel Vargas, who also is a Xolo owner. The work is entitled The Two Headed Xoloitzcuintle.

…2009 World Show in Bratislava. The World Show brings people from everywhere so for many rare breeds it is the most important show each year. Those of us who are not able to attend always anticipate the photos that are posted on the internet. We see many new faces, and new Xolos being shown. This is a very exciting time for our breed, as numbers grow and breeders work to standardize size and type and improve quality.
