I also understand that Besitos Mintsitani took breed a couple of times down in Florida at the Eukanuba. Congratulations to Lesa Little and the others who own her. Chicken Warning for Pet Owners
This year the FDA has logged at least 353 reports of dogs getting sick due to chicken jerky products (also sold as chicken tenders, or treats), all imported from China. That’s up from 70 reports of illnesses and some deaths received in 2011 before an updated warning was issued in November.
The FDA has not yet been able to identify the source of the problem or a specific brand or type of treat.
Officials say simply to avoid giving pets any chicken jerky treats imported from China. They also say to get your dog to a vet immediately if you notice decreased appetite or activity, vomiting, diarrhea, increased water consumption and urination.
