…to everyone, from my home to yours………….
The new fallen snow, the beautiful sunrise, the promise of the new year, the smell of Hoover’s apple and pumpkin pies in the kitchen, the sound of soft zither music like my Uncle John from Austria used to play for us…it feels like the season really is here. May you enjoy the time of year.
…of my favorite “Xolo Duenas.” Shirley Lundy is in her 80’s and still does rally and obedience training with her dogs. Here she is pictured with her standard hairless female Xolo, “Roca.” When I spoke with Shirley on the phone recently she expressed that she sends her love and best wishes to all her Xolo friends….and wishes that we could get together more often.
…for the Xolos, for the good people in our lives, for the bountiful harvest of the hayfields, for the moments that we spend with our friends and loved ones.
Here you see a photo of “Tom”. He was the largest turkey that we have raised. We have not had a huge one since. His breast portions together weighed in at 32 pounds. My vegetarian friends will be happy to know that this is the last year we will raise turkeys. Hoover and I are no longer strong enough to butcher them by ourselves.
May your Thanksgiving day be GREAT!!
